This is the perfect time of year for some drop-dead gorgeous yarns, full of bling, light, and glory! We are delighted to be able to add some much needed color to our winter with Art Yarn's Every Which Way Shawl kits.

Each kit contains two part-skeins of Beaded Silk Light in two colors and one small skein of Cashmere one-ply. These are super-luxury yarns and a marvelous opportunity to try them out. The colors are glorious, the texture sublime, and the whole makes for a most lovely shawl to grace your shoulders, any time of year.

Well, we are feeling a bit like Old Mother Hubbard. After our December Clearance Sale, the cupboards are a bit bare. We have more wonderful yarn on its way, but always time and space interferes and makes it all take longer than we'd really like.

In the meantime we do have some wonderful new patterns that we found very intriguing and a couple of new kits as well. And we are gradually filling up those shelves again.

Our Ravelry forum, will be hosting a KAL (Knit Along) starting at the beginning of December for making this new design by Mary White called Fanflower Fling.

Cindersall had been knitting her fingers to the bone and making sure she has the design totally understood so she can be there to help with any and all questions or comments or whatever -- and you can talk and compare notes with others making the shawl as well.

Plus we are in the process of putting together some great kits for the KAL. You can create-your-own kit by choosing lace weight yarn with the pattern (and we'll include the beads as a special gift) or check out some of the Fanflower Kits that will be popping up between now and the beginning of next week.

Each month we present new colorways for the wonderful Galatea Lariat Necklace designed by Siva. Our November kits just went up and we are super-pleased with what we can offer.

Kelly and Laura (of The Unique Sheep) dye stunning mini-skeins in 100% silk Marici fingering weight yarn which I combine with beads to make really striking one-of-a-kind kits. A wonderfully fast knit that is very satisfying to make, lovely to wear, and perfect for gift-giving.

Our What's New section is constantly growing and there are some real beauties we just put up that I just have to tell you about!

A shipment of new yarn has arrived, of the bright and brilliant colorways of JojoLand with their subtle blending of long repeats. This is a brand new yarn indeed: a heavy worsted/ chunky Fantasia superwash wool along with some patterns made especially for them. Pick a color to play with and have a great time trying it out -- while making a wonderful winter gift for a loved one.

From Holiday Yarns we have a small sampling of lace weights in a merino/silk blend that are simply delicious.

You may have seen the new bulky weight yarn from Universal, called Bamboo Bloom and Bamboo Bloom Handpaints.

Well, we're delighted that Universal is also offering two free patterns that were designed specifically for these, using only one skein to make a stunning cowl. Take a look at Penelope or Persephone! What a great idea!
